The home

A tiny home for two, with the mountain out back.

Magnolia sits on an acre of meadow near the base of Lookout Mountain, with leafy trees, a neighbor’s pasture and mountain views all around. It’s our most-reviewed home.

Inside, pine and poplar walls give it a cozy cabin feel. The kitchen has a farmhouse sink, a full-size fridge, an induction cooktop and a toaster oven big enough for a whole chicken. A dining nook looks out at miniature goats grazing. Up a spiral ladder, the loft has a king bed with Egyptian cotton sheets.

Outside, there’s a deck with string lights and a grill, Adirondack chairs for sunset, a fire pit, and a hot tub for two under the stars.

Good to know

Questions guests ask.

Anything else, just ask Owen.

How do you get to the bed?

The loft is up a spiral ladder, and you crawl into bed. It takes good balance. If that’s a worry, Redbud Tiny Home on the same acre has regular stairs.

Is it good for kids?

No. Because of the loft and ladder, it isn’t safe for children under 12.

What are the house rules?

Up to two guests, and the person booking must be 21 or older. No pets (the farm animals next door), no smoking, no candles and no parties.

What will we hear?

Magnolia is near a hang gliding landing zone, so on flyable days you’ll see gliders and hear small tow planes. The neighbor’s roosters and goats chime in too.

Can we book both tiny homes?

Yes. Redbud shares the acre, and both are set up for privacy. Two couples can book both and still have their own space.

When are check-in and check-out?

Check in from 4 PM. Check out by 10 AM.
